heros journey essay

My page is about phillip and timothy. When phillip found out
that they had to mave he was mad. Phillip Enright was the lead
role in the story. Later on in the story other people will come
in to the story.

Phillip had to leave and go to America. Phillip came from some
country far awayand traveled to America or tried at least. The
Germans torpedod their ship.

When phillip woke up on a raft he saw a big black guy. That
later in the story when phillip goes blind he becomes his
mentor. He makes rope so that phillpi can get around on the
island. Once phillip startes getting more independent he startes
fishin, climbin trees, and swimin for lobsters.

when phillip was rescued and he was heading back to were he lived.
he was talking to all these people in the helocopter about what was
happening around him and in the counrty he once lived in.

In my paper I was manely talking about phillip and timothy. I was very
interested in the story I enjoyed reading it and would like to watch the
movie. The charecter had more than enough information about the hero's
journey.

The paper is about a hero's journey. The hero's journey is about a kid named Phillip Enright. Phillip Enright completed his heros journey.

Phillip Enright's seperation starts when his mother thinks the island of curcao. So she decides it is time to go. The calling is when his mother tells him that they are going to America because the island is too dangerous to live on. The threshold is when Phillip does not know if he should stay or if he should go. The descent is when Phillip leaves the island with his mother.

Phillip's initiation is when hefinds his mentor enters the abyss and undergoes transformation. the abyss is the uknown to Phillip the onkown is the cay. The mentor is the person who helps the character throughout the hero's journey to Phillip that was Timothy of charrlote. The transformation is when Timothey dies and Phillip is now independant on his own.

Phillip's return is when he is found on the island by the coast gaurd naked because of the storm that hit the cay. the creation is when Phillip is at home and can now see but he needs to use glasses. my opinion is that phillip completed his hero's journey.

i talked about Phillip Enright in my essay. Phillip did complete his hero's journey. my opinion of the book is that it was good.

Hero's Journey
Chuck Nolan

My page is about Chuck Nolan's Hero's Joureney. Chuck Nolan di complete his Hreo's Journey, he went through all the stages. Chuck Nola's situation is that his plane crashed and he wound up on a(n) island. There he had to survive on his own with no connection to civilization, he was stuck on this island.
Chuck Nolan's separation was from his family and friends he was always away on business but this time he had to deliver all these packages on a plane. Chuck's Calling was to deliver the packages for his job because he worked for UPS and if he didn't he would probably lose his job. Chuck's Threshold was when him and his wife arrived at the airport, you could tell that he di not want to go he wanted to stay and be with his family and friends, but his job called him off. His Descent was when he got on the plane and the plane crashed and he was floating and landed on an island, he didn't kow where he was at or how he got there. My opinion on this is that he should of stayed at home wiht his family and friends i mean it was Christmas.
Chuck's Initiation/Mentor was i think wilson, because without Wilson he wouldn't have anyone to talk to, he would go insane. The Unknown to Chuck was why & How he got on the island, he had found a cave that he slept in every night he didn't knoe what could have been in that cave but he still survived in there for four years. His Transformation was when years passed and he got the hang of living on an island he made stuff out of anything he could find just so he can have things to help him around the island. My opinion on this is that although he is getting the hang of being on the island he still should be trying to find ways to get off the island.
His Return was not what he expected although he was on civilization all he could think about was the island andhow he survived on it. Since he has been home he has and still uses his experience & knowledge to try and create a better utopian Society. He is alot more nice to people and does not take his life and Employees for granted anymore.
What i talked about was Chuck Nolan's Hero's Journey he survived staying on an island for four years and he is still alive to tell about it. Yes i do think he completed a Hero's Journey because he went through all the steps of a Hero's Journey.

Genesis Maria De Jesus Alvarez-Cortez "uh son!!!!"

"Hero's Journey" has three steps which are seperation, intation, & return. This "Hero's Journey" paper is on this boy named Phillip Engright who left the island he was staying on & his father to go with his mother to America. In my opinion he did complete his "Hero's Journey".

Phillip's seperation was when he had to leave his father & friends . His calling was when his mother wanted to leave the island so they could be in a safer place far from WW2 . His treshold was that he didint have a choice since his parents already made the plans for him & his mother to leve to the Americas. In my opion his 2nd sepration was harder then the first. for In the first sepration it was just from his father & friends but he knew he would see them agian yet in the second he was seperated from his mother and didnt know if he would ever see her or anybody else again.

Phillip's intation is trying to survive blind.with an old man(Timonthy) & the chefs cat (stewcat). He at first gave us the readers the feeling that he wanted to give up and was just acting like a little child selffish and ungrateful of surving the torpedo. His abyss was not knowing where he was at being blind and barely having any survival skills. His mentor was Timonthy,he taught Phillip some survival skills and how to be independent. His transformation was Timonthy died and he was left alone with only stewcat. In my opinion His Ination where good beacuse he still did everything to survive.

Phillps return was when he was rescued by some type of coast guard. He had surgery on his eyes and was able to see again. He was reaquinted with his family and friends. Yet he didnt hang out much with his old friends. My opinon is that phillip matured and grew through his experience.

Phillip In my opion completted his "Hero's Journey". He was at firts seperated from his father and friends and then from everyone else he knew. He did all he could to surive and be reaquinted with his family & friends. I dont know if Ill every be able to survive a "Hero's journey" as strong as this on. I guess I'll only know when it happens to me.

This story is about Phillip Enright. Phillip family lived in Willemstad because of his dad. Phillip's dad work in a oil refinery. They called his dad to work in Willemstad because of the German U-boat is planning to destroy the oil refinery so it can cut the oil supplies for the allies. The people in Willemstad is worried about there food supplies and others supplies because of the U-boat.

Phillip's mom is afraid in the war going on so she want leave Willemstad. Phillips dont want to leaved the island. Phillip and his mom board the boat on a carribean. The boat was torpedo by the U-boats. Phillip was seperated with his mom when the boat got torpedo. Phillip was hit by a a piece of wood on the head.

Phillip was save by his shipmate name Timothy. Phillip and Timothy board on a raft. Phllip went blind when he woke up. Timothy and Phillip reached a cay. Timothy think the cay is in the middle of the devil mouth. Timothy made a hut, S.O.S sign made of rocks, vine rope and a cane to guide Phillip, fishing pole and he gathered lot's of firewood incase of an airplane past by.

Timohty teach Phillip to be idenpendent so he teached how to fish for lobster. he taught him to go to the reef by his self. Timothy asked Phillip to make mat so they dont have to sleep on sand anymore. Phillip got mad because his blind and he cant work so he told timothy a big stupid black man then Timothy slapped Phillip acrossed the face. Timothy asked Phillip if he can climb the palm tree. Phillip believed in his self and Timothy and climbed the palm Tree. Phillip realized that all thing Timothy did was for him incase they never get rescued.

Timothy said to Phillip there will be a storm coming. Timothy prepared for the storm. The storm came and Phillip and Timothy tied there self to a palm tree after the storm Phillip found Timothy dead. Phillip buried Timothy and wrote on his tomb "Thank You". Phillip was rescued by a American destroyer then Phillip got a sugery omn his eye and he can see again.

The hero's journey is based on three stages the seperation, the initiation, and the return. The seperation has three different events which are the calling, the threshold, and the descent. The initiation contains three events as well. The abyss, the mentor, and the transformation. The return the last stage of the heros journey only contains one event, which is the creation. My eassy is going to be about Phillip Enright and how he fits into the hero's journey. Which in my opinion Phillip is a great example to explain the hero's journey.
In the seperation Phillip's calling is the war. It is the world war 2 takes place in Willenstad on February 1942. The threshold that Phillip has to go through is mom and dad's discussion of leaving the island the mom wants to go because she is scared of the war. Phillips descent was the book sailing away to sea. In my opinion all of those are good examples to let the reader understand the hero's journey better.
In the initiation which as well has three events. The first event is the abyss, which is also known as the unknown. In this case it is the cay the unknown island. The mentor is Timothy which helps Phillips to be independent and teaches him teachnics to survival. The transformation which is the change is Timothy slapping Phillip and making Phillips attitude change towards him. Those all match up to thier topics that fit into the hero's journey.
The return only has one event which is the creation. In this event and stage Phillip gets saved by the lifegaurd from the army. But in between the hurican Timothy doesnt make it and dies. After Phillip gets rescued he meets up with his parents. Then his parents take him back to the U.S. and while he is over there he gets opperated so he can see again because he was blind.
In my paper I talked about Phillip and his journey to the cay and how all the events that happened match up to the hero's journey. He had something that fit in all the events from the calling, to the abyss, to the creation he had everything. Thats how a heros journey should be with a charecters Seperation, to his or her initiation, and to the return. Thats how a hero's journey should work.
My paper is on the Hero's Journey of Phillip Enright, a boy from the book "The Cay" by Theodore Taylor. Phillip goes from living on a Dutch island with his family, to being stranded on a deserted island, struck blind, and with only an old black man and a cat for company. But even against all odds (not to mention a massive hurricane), he triumphs and is rescued, but at the cost of a life.
The Calling began for Phillip when he was still in Willemstad. He was only a child, playing with his friend Henrik Van Boven. But he was soon thrust into the Threshold when his parents started arranging for him to leave with his mother on a boat bound for America, because his mother has a distinct fear of flying. But the waters are not safe either, and after a few days on the open sea, the ship Phillip and his mother were travelling on was sunk by a German u-boat, a type of submarine. This was the turning point that got him stuck into the Descent, headed for nowhere, stranded on a raft.
He was struck in the head by falling timber when the boat was wrecked, causing him to go completely blind. This made him enter the Abyss phase of our Hero's Journey. It was here that he met an old black man named Timothy, and the chef of the boat's cat, aptly named Stew Cat. When they finally washed up on a cay, with Timothy acting as the now-blind Phillip's eyes and ears. Timothy then taught Phillip quite a number of survival techniques, and essentially became Phillip's Mentor on the lonely island. Eventually, a huge hurricane swept over the cay, and Timothy died, shielding Phillip from the brunt of the storm with his massive body. This moment in the Hero's Journey is best known as the Transformation.
Phillip was left alone on the island, save Stew Cat. He had to forage for food to feed himself and his companion, and do it while blind, thus bringing up a multitude of questions. How will he fish? How will he hunt? How will he survive? Luckily, he had pretty much memorized the small cay, and he was able to survive long enough to wait for the Creation to come rolling along, and a rescue boat with it.
This paper was on the Hero's Journey of Phillip Enright from "The Cay" by Theodore Taylor. Phillip went completely through the Hero's Journey, from The Calling to The Creation, and everything in between.

Justin Murray

This paper is about the Hero's Journey. I chose to write about Phillip Enright. I feel that Phillip completed the Hero's Journey by going through what he did.

In Phillip's separation he leaves the island. It starts with the calling and the war is the calling. Then conversations between mom and dad become the threshold. Finally, ending with the descent, which is them leaving. I feel this part is very important to me because it gives us a familiarity with Phillip and his surroundings.

The initiation is where Phillip goes from where he was to where he becomes. The first sage, abyss, is where he is on a raft in the Caribbean ocean, becomes blind, and lands on an unknown island. The mentor part is where Timothy teaches him by slapping Phillip for being rude, preparing Phillip for the storm, and by protecting Phillip from the storm. After mentor comes transformation, where Phillip's attitude changed after he got slapped, Phillip helped Timothy through his illness, and Timothy's death impacted Phillip.

The return is where the hero (Phillip) comes back and uses what he learned to make the world a better place. Phillip gets rescued on a boat. He goes through surgery and gets his eyesight back. He also hangs out with the black people more because to him the color doesn't matter. My opinion about the return is that it is very important to see how Phillip has changed and how much more mature he is.

I talked about Phillip Enright and I talked about his Hero Journey or what I like to call his stages to (in the long run) becoming a better person. I feel he completed the Hero's Journey. The book was really good because it showed a perfect picture on the Hero's Journey and was a great read.

Robert Soberano

In everybody's life going through the Hero's Journey is inevitable. Even in stories and movies and in songs you can pick out at least one or two elements in the Hero's Journey. In this paper I will be taking you through the Hero's Journey of a character in a movie named "Cast Away". That character will be Chuck Noland, a Federal Express worker that puts being on time and delivering his packages as one of his top priorities. Based on the events that Chuck overcomes throughout his story I think that he successfully completes the Hero's Journey. After reading this paper hopefully you will feel the same way to.

The first stage that Chuck goes through is separation. This starts when his job requires him to leave home once again, this creates the event of the calling. Leaving behind his friends, family and his girlfriend he decides to board a plane. At that point Chuck completes the even known as the threshold. From there the plane Chuck is in flies above a part of the Pacific Ocean. During this time the plane flies through what seems to be like a storm. There the storm forces the plane to crash in to the dark ocean. That is when Chuck is forced into the event of the descent.

After completing the events of the separations Chuck begins to experience the initiation stage of the Hero's Journey. The first even is the abyss. In the story I believe that Chuck goes through two events of the abyss. The first that Chuck is thrown into is when the plane Chuck is in crashes into the deep dark Pacific Ocean. In that ocean Chuck has no inkling what so ever of where in the Pacific Ocean he is. The second event is when he drifts upon an island that appears to be unpopulated. There stranded on a lonesome island makes it hard for Chuck to obtain a true mentor. I believe that within creating his volleyball friend, Wilson, gives Chuck a purpose to learn and gain more and more experience to survive on that island. Although a volleyball has no sense of experience or knowledge what so ever I say that Wilson poses as some what of a mentor because he keeps Chuck a little on the sane side and sort of gives Chuck some one to care for on the island. Chuck begins the transformation when Chuck is able to create fire and cooks with ease. In the movie the part that really shows how Chuck transforms is after he knocks him self out trying to get rid of that pain causing tooth. After that scene it fast forwards time four years and shows Chuck killing a fish with only a spear from a distance.

In the story it does quite a number on the return. Although during the return Wilson is lost in the friendship killing ocean and drifts away from Chuck. Chuck is rescued one day by a passing cargo ship. As soon as he returns home to find that his girlfriend, Kelly, moved on and married while Chuck was on the island. Afterwards I believe that the creation takes place when he goes to his old girlfriends house and returns the pocket watch that she gave him before he left to board the plane. From there he goes to talk to his friend and Chuck tells him what it was like to be on that island. Chuck also told him about the time when he almost hung himself. As he was tell the story he told his friend that he realized that after all the drama in life passes over everybody still has a life to live. With that statement I think that is where Chuck creates a better utopia for society. Although he only told his friend I still believe that that is the creation. After that event Chuck completes the Hero's Journey.

Hopefully by now you figured out that this whole paper was about the protagonist of "Cast Away", Chuck Noland, and all the trials that he went through that create the Hero's Journey in that movie. Now I think that you agree that in the story of "Cast Away" that the story meet all the criteria of each and ever event of the Hero's Journey. I strongly believe that Chuck Noland completed the Hero's Journey with flying colors. Although the event of the mentor was a little hard to believe I hope you see why I think that Chuck completed the Hero's Journey.

My paper is about the Hero's journey of Phillipe Enright. On how he has to struggle fro life and death. and of dealing with handicaps in his epic tale the Cay. I think it's a great story on how to survive on a island, and with someone you hardly know. And you both have to put your differences aside so both can try to stay alive long enough to be found.
The separation of this story when Phillipe is made to leave the island because of the war. His mother and father want him not to be in harms way. Then there comes the calling when he is forced to actually go. So he and his mother are sent off on a ship because of his mother fear of flying. This was the threshold of the story. Then comes into play is the descent when Phillipe and his mom on the boat in the middle of Caribbean Sea. this sums up separation
The initiation of the cay and of Phillipe begins like this. With the abyss when Phillipe and his mom get blowing up on the boat they're on because of the war going on. And when blowing up he get hit in the head real hard with and object from the boat which then later in the story makes him blind. And ends up getting saved from boat wreck by an old black man named Timothy. Next they land on an island(Cay) and are stranded. As on the island Phillipe gets mentored by Tim how teaches him how to survive. And as he doing so he transforms(Transformation). When he gets slapped by Tim who tells him, he needs to work for in order for both of them to live. He needs to work even if his blind his hands are not. This The initiations summed up.
Next is how the returns come into play by a hurricane coming and Phillipe getting taught by Tim how to survive it. And when it comes Tim gives his life to save Phillipe and dies in the process. Leaving Phillipe on the cay alone and with the knowledge of how to survive on a cay alone.and within this time the creation comes when he is saved and, then brought back to his family and, got his blindness cured. But he gets it now its not looks that make a person its whats inside and he will all ways Carry thats through his life and hopefully everyone.
The conclusion of the story is on how Phillipe had to go through something. To change his view and prospective on others he knows nothing of but their skin color. And taking things for granted like his eye site which learned was big to have an honer to have and privilege. So he learned and I learned a lot about to not judge before you know and be great full for what you got. This how things got changed for him and me in his tale of the cay.

Edgar Palafox

This paper is about a young person who went through the hero's journey. This person was Phillip. He is white, skinny, and sometimes he can be a little immature. This character did finish the hero's journey because he matured a lot and in the end he kept everything he learned into his brain. He learned how to do stuff on his own like catch a "langosta" while blind.

The separation for Phillip wasn't really his choice. He was forced of leaving the place he loved because of the war. Phillip had no choice his parents just demanded him to go, this being the threshole. At last it was time to leave with his mom on the boat. He waved goodbye to everyone he loved. He was now into the the open water in a boat with other people.

Next is the innovation this is where Phillip finds his mentor after the boat he was sailing on was torpedoed down. Phillip and his mom were now separated. Phillip Didn't really have to look for his mentor his mentor came to him. The mentors name was Timothy A big Black man with a weird accent and his cat named Stew Cat. After their off the raft and onto the island Phillip is blind and he goes through a hard time getting used to everything. Phillip is transformed when Timothy slapped him, thus changing Phillips attitude. Later on the the book Timothy becomes sick and Phillip helped him out for the next few days while he got better. Then a big storm comes and Timothy protects Phillip from it, thus killing Timothy.

Phillips Return was very lucky. He was rescued by soldiers. If it was for the fire and the seaweed he used to make the signal fire he wouldn't have been rescued. All thanks to Timothy he was able to survive and hunt for his own food and make a signal fire. Phillip made another hut on his own as well.

In this paper I talked about The mentor and how he helped Phillip survive, make stuff, work on his own, keep track of the days, and some other stuff too. I also talked about each stage Phillip went through. This character did finish the hero's journey because he finished every step of the hero's journey.

Hero's Journey Essay

In this paper we would talk about the Hero's Journey of Phillip. Who ia the main character of the book "The Cay". I think he completed the Hero's Journeyand he went through all the stages, exept the first 3.

The separrtion wasn't his decition, he was pushed to ti . He didn;t get de callin either. I don't think a 12 year old boy would like to stay in a Cay, blind with someone he doesn't know . The threshhold that's something he didn't get , but I think anyone would stay. The Descent in my opinion started in moment he got in the litle boat . Because he didn't know what's going to happen.

The initiation starts when he meet Timothy. Timothy was tryin to help him survive . The best part of all is when he meets his mentor he goes blaind and now his depending on him, in my opinio that's the abyss. Timothy was his mentor, he try to help him. He took Phillip to a save place, and teach him things they would need to survive. The transformation was hard for Phillip, it took Timothy to slap him. He start seein things the way they are, and that they're going to need t0 pass through all of them together. I would slap Phillip earlier. But it seems that Timothy is a patient man.

Timothy dies after a storm. But he got time to teach Phillip a lot of stuff so he could survive with out him. After a few days or weeks Phillip was rescued. That's the return. The creation was that he wasn't raisist anymore, and tryed to make his mother tink his way, which was the good way .

I talked about Phillip and his Hero's Journey. He did completed the Hero's Journey, but he didn't get chance to choose. He was pushed trough all his adventure, and it changes his life and give him a good friend.

Nicole Lane

My paper is about Chuck Noland who I think completed the Hero's Journey. Chuck Noland is a man who had very hard obsticles to complete the Hero's Journey.

Chuck's separation was when he was in an airplane flying for work. While doing that his plane crashed and he was the only survivor. While floating in the ocean for a very long time he found a island and headed that way. He planned on getting found right away but that didn't happen so he kind of got settled in; just for the night. I think Chuck was very brave because if it happened to me I would be scared.

I think when Chuck looked at a FedEx box that washed up on shore was when he thought positive. He looked at the wings on the box and he suddenly had hope. I think Chuck was his own mentor because he was the only one on the island. Also because he was the one who taught hisself to do all the things he did while being stranded. Chuck's transformation was when he found "Wilson" the volleyball. I think he still had faith and he didn't feel so alone because of "Wilson."

Chuck's return was amazing! He built a raft and sailed out to get home. While the waves were beating him he kept going. Even though he lost "Wilson" along the way he couldn't give up; he never did. The next morning Chuck woke up to a huge ship sailing past him. As anyone would do he waved and screamed and before you knew it he was on a plane flying back home. I don't know about the creation but I do know that Chuck got re-created. Everyone thought no one survived so to everyone Chuck was dead. He wasn't so they had to "bring him back alive" by filling out a buch of paperwork; like he was a newborn baby.

I talked about Chuck Noland from "Castaway." I think that Chuck completed the Hero's Journey 100%. I think he completed it because he was lost and found his way home and inspired a lot of people; even me.

This paper will be about the Hero's Journey which is about Phillip Enright of the book "The Cay". Phillip Enright is a kid from Willemstad that encountered hardship in a lonely cay with a black man named Timothy. Timothy is Phillip's mentor in the book "The Cay" that was with Phillip when they were in the cay but died because of a storm that hit their cay. Phillip's dad work at the refinery and is the specialist at refining oil. Phillip's mom doesn't have a job and she doesn't like Willemstad because of the smell of oil and native people. Phillip did complete the Hero's Journey because he was able to change to be an independent person because of his mentor Timothy.

The separation started when the war started and they had to leave Willemstad to go to Norfolk, Virginia. His mom wanted to go to Virginia because they are originally from Virginia. The calling was the war, it's because Phillip had no choice but to leave Willemstad to go to Norfolk, Virginia. The threshold in the story was Phillip's mom and dad had the conversation about whether they will leave or not. The descent was when Phillip's mom and dad decided that Phillip and his mom will leave to Norfolk, Virginia, and so they boarded the boat going to America.

There was really no initiation but he did find a mentor though he didn't do any heroic deed. For the abyss, it's when they were on the boat on Caribbean sea. The other abyss is when Phillip and Timothy were aboard the raft on the Caribbean alone. Finally, the last abyss is when they drifted to an unknown island. His mentor is Timothy and on of the things that he did to wake Phillip is he slapped him when he won't work. The other one is when he protected Phillip from the storm. The transformation after Timothy slapped him was Phillip's attitude started to change. Also Phillip helped Timothy when he was sick with malaria. The last transformation was the death of Timothy, this had a huge impact to Phillip because he will have to use the surviving skills and surviving kits that Timothy made him so he could survive in the cay.

The return is when a boat came and rescue Phillip and took him back to Willemstad. One of the creation is that Phillip's family doesn't have to move from Willemstad to Virginia. Also that Phillip doesn't feel uncomfortable talking to native people. Phillip is even talking about Timothy with other native people and some of them knew Timothy of Charlotte Amalie. The last creation is that he will find the cay that he and Timothy got stranded and put the devil's mouth in the map so that everyone would know it existed and where Timothy of Charlotte Amalie died.

I talked about Phillip Enright from the book "The Cay" and his Hero's Journey. I talked about why they had to leave Willemstad. Also how he found his mentor through a war. I also talked about how he got rescued and what happened after. Phillip did complete a Hero's Journey because he was able to change to someone independent. he was able to live alone even though he was blind in a lonely cay thanks to Timothy's survival items he made for him. He completed a Hero's Journey because of the death of his mentor, Timothy of Charlotte Amalie.

This paper is about "Hero's Journey". "Hero's Journey" has three steps: Separation, Initiation, and Return. I'm going to write about Chuck Noland and his " Hero's Journey". In a way Chuck Noland does complete his "Hero's Journey".

Chucks separation from his family friends and soon to be wife must not have been hard because he thought he would be home again in a matter of days. Chucks calling of separation was work because he had one more trip before Christmas. His threshold was leaving work in the U.S. but not really having a choice and him waking up not dead. Separation is really hard From leaving family and friends. Having to leave everything for so many years.

Chucks Initiation is him trying to get off the island by dong all he could and getting a friend Wilson, who's a volleyball. Part of his Initiation is the abyss of being on an island that know ones heard of before. Chucks mentor in the initiation is Wilson the volleyball. He talks to it like its a real person. His transformation is going on the top of the steep mountain to build a raft. Initiation is that someone might wish that they could do a heroic mentor that performed great deeds.

Chucks return is quite simple. He try's to get his life back together after all these years. He try's to get back with his fiance, but shes already married and has a child. He leaves her so she could be with he husband because he loves her so much. Chuck returns the box that he never opened with the wings and heads for a new life.In a way his choose to start over not knowing were he was going was a good idea.

This paper was about Chuck Noland and his experience on the unknown island. Chuck did complete his "Hero's Journey" because he follows all the steps. In my opinion i don't think id ever be able to complete "Hero's Journey" like Chuck did.
